The celebration of this very important milestone in our Lodges history was celebrated on 15th March 2008 at our regular meeting in Freemasons Hall Great Queen Street London.
The meeting was conducted in the grand surroundings of the Buckingham Lodge room Freemasons Hall, Great Queen Street, London and was attended by 52 members and guests, including some notable dignitaries from Metropolitan Grand Lodge.
The formal elements of the proceedings were conducted with precision by the W BRO. Patrick Penny MetDepGDC. The Centenary Warrant was read out by W Bro. Ron Mumford AGPurs.
VW Bro. Richard Knox-Johnston PGSWdB then formally presented both the warrant and a Centenary Jewel to the Master of the Lodge. A synopsis of the Consecration meeting minutes was then given by W. M. Roy Thompson and followed by a very interesting oration given by W Bro. Colin Calcott-James Met Chaplin. Also present at the meeting was W Bro. John Sharp VO.
The Lodge was very proud to present, on this important occasion, a cheque for £5,000 to W Bro. Chris Cain RMBI Chairman, who in return presented the Lodge with a certificate confirming the Lodge to be a Grand Patron of the RMBI.
